PUBLIC NOTICE The County of Kauai is opening its Wait List for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. The US Department of Housing and Urban Development Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program provides rental assistance to eligible households. Online applications will be accepted from Wednesday, May 15, 2019, 8:00 am (HST) until further notice. Submitted pre-applications will be randomized, and through a lottery, a selected number of applications will be placed on the waiting list. There is no first-come, first-served advantage, and only one application will be allowed per household. There is no guarantee for eligibility or housing assistance after applying. The Wait List will open on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, 8:00AM (HST). Applications will be accepted from this time until further notice.
