PUBLIC NOTICE
Hi’ipaka, LLC with funding from The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) is requesting bids to renovate buildings in Waimea Valley in Hale’iwa.
The project goal is to increase resiliency, provide a richer Hawaiian cultural visitor experience, support local businesses, and employ more local residents in high quality jobs. We will: (1) Renovate the Visitor Center bathrooms and expand the gift shop, (2) Renovate the pavilion, (3) and demolish part of an old nursery area to create a Community Resource Center for artisans and volunteers.
This will improve the quality of visitor experiences to Waimea Valley, allow us to hire more employees, allow us to contract with more local businesses, allow us to contract more native Hawaiian artisans, and provide better hosting of school groups to learn about Hawaiian history and culture.
