DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION The purpose of this revision is to address major changes to FHWA and FTA funded projects due to changes in purpose and need, shifts in project schedules, priorities, and significant cost estimate increases or decreases that occurred through the project development process. Some projects will be added to, and others deferred out of the STIP due to these changes. Other scheduling changes or funding restructuring were also necessary to fiscally balance the aforementioned changes.
