Jerome Arakaki, 71, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2023 at home. He was born on August 18, 1952 in Waimea, Kauai, resided in Kalaheo and most recently in Puhi, Kauai. He was a graduate of Kauai High School and Kapiolani Community College. As a retired Building Maintenance Supervisor II for the Department of Accounting & General Services, Jerome was very outgoing and loved his family and friends dearly. When not with his grandchildren/great- grandchildren, Jerome enjoyed being with his friends playing golf, baseball, and diving. He is survived by his son, Avery (Astrid) Arakaki of Colorado, and his daughter, Chelsea Arakaki both children from his marriage to Christine Narito Saito, his sister Lois (Reid) Fujishige, brothers Wesley Arakaki and Derek Arakaki, five (5) grandchildren, Alyssa, Aiesha, Kanoa, Austin, Alexis, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Hiroshi/ Sally Arakaki, eldest brother Warren Arakaki, youngest brother, Kelly Arakaki and his grandson, Christopher Issac Cremer. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Grove Farm Puhi Park on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm to reminisce and honor the life of Jerome.
