NOTICE OF PUBLICATION AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the County of Kaua’i will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at 1:30 p.m., or soon thereafter, at the Council Chambers, 4396 Rice Street, Room 201, Historic County Building, Lihu’e, on the following:

A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PROCUREMENT OF THE SERVICES OF A CONTRACT AUDITOR AND APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR A CONTRACT AUDITOR FROM APPROPRIATIONS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR FOR MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR
The purpose of this Bill is to authorize the procurement of the services of a certified public accountant or firm of certified public accountants to conduct the independent audits of all County funds and accounts as required pursuant to Sections 3.12 and 32.02(A)(1) of the Charter of the County of Kaua’i, as amended, and the Single Audit Act of 1984 and is necessary as it authorizes the approval of a contract from appropriations of a later fiscal year for more than one fiscal year.
All interested persons who wish to present their comments may do so at the public hearing. Written testimony prior to the hearing would be appreciated. Written testimony can be submitted to the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division by mail, facsimile, or via E-mail to counciltestimony@kauai.gov. Copies of the Bill are available at the Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division.
(The Council Committee or Council may amend this Bill at its subsequent meetings. Meeting notices are posted at least six (6) days in advance at the County Clerk’s Office and the public may also testify at any of these meetings.)
