YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that Plaintiff ATLANTIC SPECIALTY INSURANCE COMPANY, has filed a Complaint (Personal Injury/Property Damage); Summons (“Complaint”) against you in the District Court of the Fifth Circuit, Lihue Division, State of Hawaii, designated as Civil No. 5DRC-21-0000791, seeking a judgment against you in the sum of $31,775.38 for damages incurred in connection with that certain incident which occurred on or about November 22, 2019, involving your sailboat, the Dorcas and the Catamaran Kai Lani, plus reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs in connection with the collection of the amounts due and owing, and for such other relief as is just and equitable.
YOU ARE HEREBY SUMMONED TO appear before the District Judge of this Court at 3970 Ka’ana Street, Courtroom #2, Lihue, Hawaii 96766, at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023, or to file an answer or other pleading and serve it before said day upon Steven Guttman, attorney for Plaintiff, whose address is 220 S. King Street, Suite 1900, Honolulu, HI 96813.
If you fail to do so, judgment by default will be taken against you for the relief demanded in the Complaint.
